The Baptism For Richard sounds like it could be the right one.
Could you give me the link to look it up (web page) This might be the reason we can't find a birth certificate, as i been concentrating on 1846 give or take a year

the 51 family that gardiner found is the correct one i believe.i have found them in 1841 with edward at home
living in kingswinford in 1841-

that's brilliant, things seems to tie in  a bit better now, all the dates I had seemed to be 2 years out???

Is there an address listed for the 1841 censu

Also which IGI did you find the bap' for Richard

Have found Edward he is not shown with the family in1851 because he was in the Distrct county prison staffordshire.

Any ideas how I find the prison records as to why he was there?
