SIMPSON/SLOAN/MCKERROW

I have recently come across what looks like a 2nd marriage for one of my direct line.
JEAN SLOAN b1812 Douglas
married John McKerrow April 1835 and David Simpson June 1847

I have found 3 children from this marriage and wondered if anybody has any connection or further information.
Catherine Martin Simpson 1854
Grace Miller Simpson 1856
William Simpson 1848

I have just posted on this board today before I read your post I have Simpsons in  Douglas before your dates do not know if there is a connection.
