Hi.
I've just received a death cert, of my g.g.grandfather Charles HARTLEY born 1831 London, England who came to New Zealand around 1858 when he was 27yrs old. On his marriage cert. he is listed as tradesman & on his death cert. he is listed as shoemaker.
Unfortunately neither of his parents are mentioned. He married a Martha Burnforth on 18 Sept. 1861 in Okain's Bay. Canterbury. New Zealand. Martha b. 1838 was from England too. father: Henry Burnforth * mother Caroline ?? Where do I go from here?
