Munro Family, Dundee, Scotland

Looking to find James Donald Munro who I believe was born in Edinburgh in 1851/52 or somewhere close by.
He married Martha Low who was born on12/4/1852 in Dundee and whose parents were Alexander Low & Margaret Richardson whom were married on June 29th, 1849 and were both born in Dundee, Alexander in or about 1824 and Margaret 1828. Martha also had a sister Elizabeth born in 1852
James Donald Munro and Martha Low are my Ggrandparents and was born 1851/52 and migrated to Australia with his wife Martha.
Maybe someone out there can help with this one, sure hope so

I searched from 1861 plus 30 years.

Hi Ambly, At this stage any information as I cannot find anything. There was four children, James who I believe to be the first born apparantly died on the voyage to Australia but cannot confirm that fact, Elizabeth, May & Robert Ernest my Grandfather were all born in Australia  between 1883 & 1897 I believe.
Martha Low was from Dundee, James Donald from Edinburgh I also believe but thats all I know at this stage, if I find out more will forward to you.
Do you believe you have a connection here also

No I don't have any connection at all, just thought I would do you a favour and search Scotlands people for the marriage, you see I come from Dundee.
I didn't know you had already searched this website though.  How do you know when they were married then? Were their parents married in Scotland?

Just forgot to mention I also checked the birth in Dundee of Martha, found that but couldn't find James Donald Munro birth anywhere in Scotland between 1849 and 1854 in Scotland.

I can't find any marriage in all the years on Scotlands People except for this one but many years later, correct name for groom, but wrong bride.

Do you have James death record from Australia? What does it say regarding : his parents, years in Australia - and where did it occur?

You  believe: after son James the children were all born Australia 1883 to 1897 when Martha was between 31 and 45 years old, and that son James died on the voyage out......are we thinking they may have arrived in Australia in the late 1880's and may still be in Scotland in 1881 (Census). Also - Martha's parents (how did you  find their marriage date/place and ages?) where were they are  living in the 1871 and 1881 Census - what was their parish? Because,  where they were could be where Martha & James married, regardless of where they (James & Martha lived).

I'm wondering if this marriage was a second one for either or both of the parties and therefore perhaps Martha wasn't named a LOW(E) on the record.....

Where is Australia were Martha & James living?
