TRIVET family photographs require a good home
« on: Tuesday 10 February 04 18:56 GMT (UK) »
I have just acquired an old photo album containing over fifty photographs, I chose it for the album with the intention of selling on the pictures. Imagine my surprise when I looked at the pictures and found they where mainly from Liverpool, I live in Lincolnshire.
Sadly, the album is full of the writings of the last owner, a dear old lady who had obviously had a hard time towards the end of her life, but gives a few clues to her family identity.
I would love to give the pictures to someone who recognises the family from the few clues I have.
The old lady was called Norah Trivet and she mentions the following names, Ted, Maud, Harriet, Norman, great aunt Williamson, Beatrice, Doris, Gertie and Harold, possibly her husband. I suspect the family where Catholic as she mentions a "confirmation frock" amongst other things.
Most pictures where taken in Liverpool by W.Simpson, Venmores, Stricklands and Pettingells although some where taken by W.L Dunn of Aberdeen and the wonderfully named Scottish Photographic Touring Company.
If any of this rings bells, then please let me know.
Thanks
John

Hi John

I am a member of a "Myfamily" community for Trivett family History. I do not connect with the Trivetts you mention myself (that I know of at the moment) - but I am sure that we would be interested in the photos as a community, and we could possibly add the information and pictures to our website for all the Trivetts to use and see.

Please let me know if you think this is a good idea.

Best Regards

Maxine

I am interested in a Frank Pettingell. Born Liverpool 1891. He was a busy actor on stage in the UK in the early part of the 1900's. i wonder if the "Pettingell" photos might relate?
