Hi!

I searched the LDS following the link you presented in your previous post. I didn't actually know that the site existed beforehand  :P.

I searched for John Timmins and spouse, Sarah Fereday. There was way too many inconclusive relults from the US database which I wasn't looking for, and the results from the UK database were near 100 years off of 'my' John Timmins.

Anyhow, thanks for the link - I will check out that site for other ancestors of mine. Good luck with future research!

Ryan,

On the LDS site search the IGI(International Genealogical Index) database.  You cna choose this from the lefthand side of the "SEARCH FOR ANCESTORS" page.  You will find the birth of both John and Sarah plus their marriage listed.  One warning, you must not accept the LDS information at face value, always check against source documents(parish records).  I have found errors in the LDS records this way but it gives you a good place to start.

Thanks for the advice. I've already started digging around the LSD site and the info I've found appears to be fairly reliable, but I will heed caution.

Thanks again!

Slightly OT, but my g gran Letitia Ralph's 2nd husband was a William Timmins, who my dad says was from the Brierly Hill area and was a bare fist fighter.

They married at St Johns, Wolverhampton on 29.03.1914 and they had a daughter Letitia. He was a blast furnace foreman at Bilston Steel works.

If anyone has any info on him or his family pls let me know.

My great grandfather William Thomas Timmins was born in Dudley.  He married Mary Ashley from Over, Cheshire in Middlesbrough, North Riding of Yorkshire.  William's father Edward Timmins was also born in Dudley I believe he may have married Ellen Walker but am not 100% sure on that yet.
