When I was a girl the local manhole covers had Bush and Wilton on them so not very glamorous. I will have to try to find one for my family history book. I think I would have prefered a sandpit.

I have heard of heavy reading but that would be Heeeaaaavvvvyyyy> ;D

Hello All

My hubby has family connections to Bitton via the Bush clan.

Henry Ellacombe Bush b. 1826 married Eliza Hicks
Henry's father John Naish Bush b. 1797 married Marcia Ford
John's father John Bush b. 1772 married Mary Thompson
John's father Samuel Bush b. 1741 married Rachael Naish.

Henry, John, John and Samuel were all blacksmiths and all this info came from the bittonfamilies site.

I'm stuck at Samuel at the moment, but if I can make the link then the family is traced back to 1309!!  This particular info came from the LDS site.

Also have Bishop in the family tree but they're from Tewkesbury at the moment.

Regards, Jamys

Wendy47,

I am descended from Edmund Cox and Jane Green of the Swan Inn, through their daughter Elizabeth, who married Henry Price. One of their aughters, Mary Jane Eveline Price was my great grandmother.

Hi Maggiev [Cousin]

I too am descended from Henry Price & Elizabeth Cox through Annie Agnes who was my Great Grandmother & married Walter Green Veal. Her sister Emily Elizabeth married Walter's brother George Charles Veal & they all moved to Wales.

I have very little knowledge about Edmund Cox except that he came from Wiltshire. How are you getting on with the Price & Green sides??

Great to hear from you
