Hi Bullym,

Can I suggest doing a seperate post for this topic with your name of interest in the heading.
Unfortunately if everyone posts requests under the subject 'Australian Lookups offer', no-one else who may be researching the same names, will see your query or anyone elses. The more people that see each others requests the better and you never know who you may find.

Perhaps the moderators could help out here to prevent this happening in the future.

We're all very happy to help where we can Bullym so post away.

best wishes,

Magoo :)

Hi Jenn,
Afraid not. His parents were John Murray and Elizabeth Wingate Neil who came out to OZ in 1860 from Lanarkshire via Mauritius. He was the youngest of 4 children.
Thanks for your help

Just got back to this thread. Thanks everyone for the help with Ernest Booth. I am now able to move forward on this one! Looks like his parents were Australian and not Brits as I first thought. Cheers.  :) :)

Yes Albert Reginald Willmott came back to UK with parents at age 10 I think.  They went on to have 3 daughters Hilda, Connie and Doris all of whom went back to Aus (Hilda in later life).  Albert is my grandfather and married Alice Mildred Holden.  Susan
