Hi Jenn
How is your research going?
I've found John Bayley, b 1819, Dorset on the 1841 census and have a copy of the passenger list for his arrival in Australia. Also that of Thomas Adams Bayley, with Martha.
Have you been in touch with Janelle G.?
Is there anything I can help you with?
We share the same Thomas Adams Bayley, and Sarah Browning Bayley as our common Ancestors.
Let me know, ok?
Valerie

Hi Jackaroo,
The only James & Isabella KINGHORN I can locate are the following.
Elizabeth KINGHORN born 1854 at Bathurst,NSW & died 1865 at Orange,NSW
Margaret born 1845 at Bathurst
The parents are James & Isabella KINGHORN

James KINGHORN died 1878 at Orange,NSW. Parents Abraham & Margaret KINGHORN.
Isabella KINGHORN died 1889 aged 79 years at Orange,NSW. Mother's name Charlotte.

There are quite a few marriages, deaths and births of grandchildren involving James & Isabella's children.
Just too many to list here.

Margaret Kinghorn died 1848 aged 72 years at Bathurst,NSW
I could not find a listing for Abraham KINGHORN'S death.

Hope this helps.
Cheers
Geoff

I am curious about the Jenkins and McLaren listing...I have an Ellen Jenkins b. abt. 1871 Wales.  According to family stories, she met Alexander McClarren on board the ship to the US and married him...(this family spelled the name as above).  I know nothing about Ellen nor can I find Alexander anywhere.  Both appear in the 1900 Census.  We think they arrived abt. 1886.

Hi all :)

Not sure if this is the right place  to ask; was just going through my stuff today and came across a rellie who went to Oz between 1881 and 1889 (he was at home in Ross Herefordshire for the 1881 and died in Geelong 1889). Might there be anyone who has access to ship records for that time? Sadly all I have is a name William Henry Evans and dob Mar QTR 1867. The info I have for him is at

Happy hunting, and as always thank you for the effort you put in!

To Clazey

re william henry evans
there is a william  aged 20 on the LUISITANIA april 1877

he is the only william evans that i can see that will match your chap

you could do a separate postting not on this thread though cause i dont know how many will read it but  if you start off a new thread you might get someone too look at the actual passenger list to obtain more info about him
