Hello I was wondering if I may impose on you for help in locating a relative of my family, I can't find any birth or marriage listed in Victoria for her or her parents, I know she did exist as I met her a few times and even have photo:
Name: Melva Keane  born somewhere around 1901-1925?  in Victoria, Australia,
Parents: Alfred & Rose Keane
I know she did marry but who I don't know and had 2 children?
My Grandmother Ada Keane was her aunt I believe is the connection.  Any help in this would be greatly appreciated.

I was wondering if anyone could possibly check the SA or Qld BMDs for me, I'm trying to find out what happened to William Thomas Rayment (born London).  He married Sarah Warner at Melbourne St Peters in 1853 but Sarah appears to have died in 1855 (haven't got the death certificate yet).  There's then no sign of William after that date in either the Victoria or NSW indexes.  It was known that he went to Australia to prospect but don't know what happened to him.  If anyone could shed some light I would appreciate it.  Thanks.

    Hi,     I have just found your site,and wondered if you could find anythig about a Henry Lewis, he was born in London around 1829,and came to South Australia via America as he was a Ship's Captain.

               I believe that he married a Elizabeth Giles ( nee Jacka )  in South Australia in 1862.

                Any information would be great.

Were Alfred's parents: John Andrew Keane & Eliza ABSOLOM?

Thomas Aflred KEANE died Moon (possibly Moonee Ponds) 1962 aged 67 ref: 6748
Rose Emily KEANE died Moon 1973 aged 81 Parents: Joseph RICHMOND & Kate Emilia COLK. Ref: 30559

Thomas KEANE married Rosie Emily RICHMOND in Victoria 1919 ref: 8397

It would mean Melva was born after 1920.

Hi Genni, thank you for replying I have Elizabeth Absolom married to John Thomas Keane I guess he could have had another middle name of Andrew? sounds like the same couple as they lived in that area, although I only have Elizabeth & John Thomas Keane down as having 3 children: Margaret,  John Richard and Ada maybe an oversight on my aunts information she gave me.  Will look again for Melva.

Eliza KEANE died in 1894 Ref: 2176, then John And KEANE married Hella ABSOLOM in 1900 ref: 1755

I would greatly appreciate any information from the Victorian Indexes on the following who moved with their parents to Australia from NZ sometime after 1901.  Their parents were Kathleen Doran (nee McKnight) who died in Victoria, May 7 1952 and Lorraine Orr Doran who died in NSW, Jan 13 1920.

DORAN Dorothy Pearl - born NZ 1895 - possibly two marriages Shuttlewood 1920s and ? - children ??
DORAN Maude Kathleen Jane - born NZ 1898 - married Norman Peachey? - children ??
DORAN Thomas L G - born ? c. 1905 - no further info
