hi may i take you up on your offer. i am trying ti trace a catherine long [maiden name ] married to a john long same surname they were both born in northern ireland [catherines fathers name was john and mothers was anna she had 2 brothers i know of john b1888 albert b1900 catherine was b1886ish do not know date of marriage she was also known as [kitty] she imagrated to austrila about 1900 no farther was heard from her would like to know any of springs and any living relations she was my grand father johns sister i would be very great ful i do not known were she settled thank you regards robert john long

Would anyone be able to help with arrival records?

I have searched every site I can, to find arrival records for John Hall and wife,Jane nee Coyningham/Cunninghame.

They would have arrived in Australia some time between 1875 (birth of child in Scotland) and 1882 when another child, John Brough Hall was born at Brisbane.  May have had children with them as all immigrated.

Could you please help with this?

Finding Ancestors

Thank you for your kind offer of lookups.
Could you please check for me the details from 1840-1985 Victorian Inquests for the following :

Freerick (actually Frederick) SMALL who died in 1928 and there was an inquest done March 1928. The cause of death was listed as 'Anaesthetic'.
I assume that he was in hospital at the time. He was buried in Geelong, Victoria.

No, sorry it doesn't.  You can obtain a copy of the inquest from the Public Records Office in Melbourne. 

The PRO do not do request via email or letter.  Visit is required, I'm will be going up when it next opens on a Saturday.  Let me know via PM if you want me to get a copy orgainsed for you.

I have only just recently found out that a relative immigrated to Australia in 1888. I have listed the information below

Port of Arrival: " B " Sydney
Ship Name:  Austral

Elder, Isaac      29     
Elder, Jane       30
Elder, Louisa      7
Elder, John         5
Elder, James      1

This is the only information I have been able to find on them since leaving Glasgow, Scotland.

Other information:
Isaac was born in either Ireland, or Scotland.
His parents were John Elder & Margaret Stewart
Brothers: (Known) John, Robert, Thomas and Joseph
Sisters: (Possibly) Anne & Martha
Jane is Isaac's second wife. Her maiden name was Russell.
Louisa is the daughter of Isaac and first wife Margaret McIntosh.
They lived in Glasgow, Scotland, prior to immigrating to Australia.

Any information you can give me with regards to this family would be appreciated.

Just a quick clarification: "B" for port means Port of Departure (British).  Your family appears to have arrive in Melbourne.

Found the following:-

Robert Russell ELDER born Melbourne East 1889 REF: 23677 Parents: Isaac ELDER & Jean RUSSELL
William Russell ELDER born St Arnaud 1892 Ref: 27497 Parents: Isaac Stuart ELDER & Jane RUSSELL

Isaac Stuart ELDER died Williamstown 1931 Aged: 74  Ref: 3426 Parents: John ELDER & Margaret STEWART
