Hi Legs

The world is indeed small - I live in Perth!  When are you heading home?

Rozee - another connection of mine lives in Durrington and has sent me a couple of Bushby photos from West tarring.  I'll send them to you.

Hiya Jane,

I'm here until July 6th.  Where in Perth are you?  I'm staying with friends in Singleton.

Hi Rozee
I have a large family tree of Bushby’s including Francis & Frances going back to about 1480..!!. However I didn’t know about the Snewin family. Did you know that some of the Bushby’s ended up in Tasmania? My Gt Grandmother was also a Sussex Bushby (Marion). If you PM your email address I’ll send you my Bushby ‘timeline’ chart (plus lots of gossip!).

Hi Legs,

Could I make a cheeky request?  When you amble around Tarring Cemetery, could you keep a lookout for Fanny Faulkner Linberry (died 1883)?

Best wishes

Hello Rozee & Others...

I am a descendant of Francis Bushby's brother, William Bushby. I have quite a bit on the Bushby line and have recently been in contact with David Mason who is a cousin of yours. I am assuming you know who I am speaking of. He has gathered up quite a bit on your line.

George Bushby, son of William Bushby and Sarah Young, emigrated to Australia with the Henty Family in 1829. The group abandoned their settlement in Western Australia and moved on to Tasmania. Most Bushby folks in Tas are related to George or his brother, Charles Bushby.

Would be happy to share anything I have on this family and hope you can help me with info I don't have.

Best wishes.

Hi All
Have worked it all out now  - the Sarah Young who married William Bushby was definitely the daughter of John Young and Rebecca Weller they married in West Tarring on the 12th Oct 1768. Their Sarah was baptised on the 27th April 1783. Age wise this makes more sense.
So my Sarah Young did marry William Long in July 1806.
This gives me another question I wonder if John Young was the brother of my Sarah's father James.

Hi Anne

It would be great if we could tie both Sarah's into the tree!  I've never been able to find much info about James.  Maybe John will be easier to trace?

If they were brothers it seems likely that their mother's name would be Sarah as both have daughters of that name.

Cheers, Jane
