I am pretty new to this and now cant remember how I got here! I came across a page earlier and it appears you have been kindly checking out books for pictures of family members.
I think your messages ranged over several years.
My father was a native Maryport lad and I am only now making new discoveries about him and the area. I too have been finding it hard to collect books so the info I have already gained from yourself and others will be very useful. Still I wonder if you or others may be able to help with something specific. My grandfather William Henry Dickinson was a part=time fireman in the early 30's, The Times and Star rang an article in 2002 and which I was able to have re=run on Ex-fire newsboard, still I have not had any responses. I contacted the Maryport fire station and it appears sadly they believe no records survive. I wonder if any of your books might have something or if you or any others have any ideas I would really appreciate the support.
