Is this a lost cause?

My Gt Gt Grandparents
Born Ireland James Conn about 1826
Margaret Conn NEE Lilly Born  1836
No Place name so is this a lost cause? No idea where to look in Ireland.
 I found them in 1881 in Govan Lanark
With their family.

So just look all over Donegal? I have looked can't seem to find any Conn's or Lilly? :(

James Conn Born  Ireland in 1881 ? Margaret Conn /Nee Lilly born1886?

i found them at 9 Burndyke Place in Govan  Lanark1881
 James age 52
Margaret age 45 in 1881
and their 6 daughters.
Some of the girls where born in Greenock
do not know if this is any good.

Elizabeth Conn My GGrandmother age 20 Born Greenock Potter W
Ellen Conn age 15 Greenock  Potter Worker

Annie Conn age 1  Born Glasgow

Elizabeth Married in 1883 Willianm Cairns
in Roman Catholic Chapel Govan Lanark
so i assumed they were Catholic.

did you know James married in Scotland ?

if you go to S.P.you will get the cert it will give you the parents and place of birth
