 Hello All.
Sorry if I have this wrong because I'm new to this and this is my first look at roots chat.
My  Grt Grand father came from Eclleshall Sheffield Name William Henry Marshall My Grand Father came from the same place, Frank Earle Marshall My Father was Frank Earle Marshall just maybe the william you are looking for is the same person.

Marshall is such a common surname you have to be careful. I've sent you a message so hopefully we can tie things up there.

Hi Paul sorry to be a pain,
You will appreciate my interest in this when I explain, I was working in Sheffield when I came across a Earl Marshall road then a Earl Marshall pub and then a Earl Marshall School.
Seen as my family originated in Sheffield I thought there may be something in this.
There again it could just be a flight of fancy on my Grand Fathers part.

There is no reason why there cannot be a match in family trees but in the name Marshall it is likely that if there in the area of Sheffield then there is a good chance of a match. I believe my father has also linked that side of the family to Lincolnshire around the Gainsborough area which is quite interesting. I'll Private Message (PM) you again with my email address.
