Can anyone who speaks Irish tell me how these names are pronounced in their original forms, please? Thanks.

Hi Xphile, Its very hard to do this phonetically........ ceallachan ....would be
keller corn.......I have plenty of McKennas from Co Louth and i just cant do it phonetically. I guess your McKennas would be from Co Louth or Monaghan? Best regards,CI.

My guessing from my school going days (quite a while ago) and my recollection of the Irish Language is that Mac Cionaodha would sound something like this:

Mac Kyun aye da........
