Benjamin HARRIS of Birmingham
« on: Friday 16 June 06 06:04 BST (UK) »
I am looking for any information on Benjamin Harris, who was baptised at St Phillips Church, Birmingham, Warwickshire on 27 December, 1809 (parents:  William and Sarah Harris).  I think this could be the same Benjamin Harris who is recorded in the 1851 Warwickshire Census, aged 42 years, glass cutter, living with his wife Ann Harris, aged 38 years at 6 House, 23 Ct Moore Street, Birmingham (no children recorded in 1851).  I think my great-grandfather was a brother to Benjamin, but have no proof.  Can anyone help me with Benjamin’s entry in the 1841 census and 1861 census?  Also a record of marriage and death/burial of Benjamin and Ann? I do not know if Benjamin and Ann had any children.  I would love to find descendents of this couple.

Hi Marc,

Here is Benjamin in the 1841, sadly it doesn't really give you any extra information to work with:

HO107/1146/5 folio 12 page 17

Vale St, Birmingham

Benjm Harris age 30 - Glass M
Ann Harris age 30

both born in Warwickshire.

I couldn't spot them in 1861, perhaps somebody else can?

Thank you very much, Millerina, for the 1861 census entry.  I am sure it will be helpful.  I appreciate your help.
kind regards, Marc
