Looking for Parents of John WINTER

Please could I have some help maybe with finding the parents  & Sibblings of John WINTER born abt 1829 Pocklington Yorkshire.

Married to Frances born abt 1830 Thrixendale Yorkshire.

Any help on this family I would appreciate I have 1851 1861 1871 census

John WINTER is in my family tree  .

As Annie says, I have his bap. as 22 Jun 1829 Pocklington parents John WINTER and Elizabeth (Betsy) CROZIER.  They married 22 Nov 1819 in Hayton Yorks.

John WINTER (the younger) married Frances KIRBY 29 Jul 1849 in Hayton Yorks.  She was bap. 30 August 1829 in Wharram Percy (near Thixendale) and her parents were Ralph KIRBY and Dinah BROWN. They married on 25 May 1815 at North Newbold.

Do you think we may have a common interest?  Would be happy to share info.

I think this will be John's father in 1841 as I have his birth date as 9 Jul 1792 (parents John WINTER and Mary STAVELEY married 7 Dec 1790 in Hayton).

There is a possible death for Elizabeth WINTER in Pocklington District Jun Q 1838 (ref 23 57) maybe following birth of youngest child Robert.

HI, I see this thread was from a while ago, but I think the John Winter, with the daughter Elizabeth might be a part of my family tree.  Can you please tell me where this info came from?   Is there a birth / mothers name for her?

Hi Kellnz,

I have gathered a bit more information on this family since this thread mostly from Parish Records.

John Winter b.1792 married Elizabeth (Betsy) Crozier on 22 Nov 1819 at Hayton.  She was buried in Hayton in 1838 followed by John in 1853.

They had 8 children including the 3 that appear on 1841 census (Robert's age in 1841 is mistranscribed as 2 he was in fact 9).

Elizabeth Winter was baptised as Betsy on 14 Apr 1836 in Hayton.

Elizabeth has the right year of birth and fathers name, but my Elizabeth Winter married William May and moved to NZ. So maybe not
