interested in finding information about royal albert orphanage in worcester my father was in there 1935-1943 it is now the y m c a i have read some information but never seen any pictures of what it was like in those days just wanted help to know where to look thanks dave

I am also looking for information and pictures with regard to the Royal Albert Orphange at Henwick Road in Worchester. My father was there from 1929 to 1943. He also asked me to do this search in hopes of still finding that some of his "school mates" are still alive. He now resides in Canada.

Hi everyone,

I did suspect a lot about my paternal family which was never proved until this week when a second cousin (whom I'd never met and only heard just over a week ago that I existed) turned up in Madrid where I live with all the background on my paternal grandfather AND a copy of my father's admission into the RAO in 1925 at the age of 7.  Am gobsmacked


Sorry it was 1915 which shows how old I must be now!!!!!

Raa,  Wish I could get a blow up of your pic (which I can't do on my computer) because the young guy in the middle looks the dead spit of my father when he was 7ish.
