I am trying to find ROWLAND HEWITT.  He lived in the Portsmouth area up to 1934.  I am trying to find out what happened to him after this time.

Hi.
I have HEWETT 's in my tree.  William Hewett married Sarah Hewett, (yep same surname !!), in 1839, South Stoneham.     BUT  the names on the England & Wales Marriage Index are HEWITT.   
Just thought I had better warn you about the different spellings.
On the old IGI sheet, the bride and grooms name was written as HEWITT but both of thier fathers names were spelt correctly as HEWETT.
