Jospeh and Ellen Wright
« on: Saturday 10 June 06 21:10 BST (UK) »
My gg grandfather Joseph Wright was born about 1836 in London. He married Ellen Parry, born about 1849 in Caernarvon. They apparently lived in Caernarvon for awhile because their son Joseph Thomas Wright was born there in 1868. Joseph and Ellen had several children, Joseph, Richard, Sarah, Ellen, Mary Jane, James, and Henry. Joseph Sr. was listed as a mariner. Ellen apparently married again to Henry Bromley and had a daughter Susie Maggie Bromley. Perhaps Joseph died at sea?

I have been able to follow the family through the census but as you know, that information tells only part of the story. My Nain, Richard’s daughter saved many clippings of the family once they arrived in the US. But, that is minimal. Unfortunately, those in my family who could help have passed before my interest in genealogy. I know I have cousins out there somewhere and it’s a matter of time before I find some of them. I was just wondering if any of my info rings a bell with you…

Thank you

Hi

My name is Kevin John Parry.  I am researching my family tree and came across Richard Wright on the 1851 who married Ann Walls, they had the following children Ann (7), John (9), William (3mths).

Later on in 1871 Ann Wright(Walls) aged 54 was a widow and had Martha Wright who married Edward Parry in 1879. In the 1871 census Ann Wright had Martha Wright (14), Elizabeth (22), Richard (13), Ann (1) and Emmadon't have a birth date for her.

Edward (23) and Martha had Edward W, Martha (1).  My Parry family came from West Derby, Liverpool.  But somewhere along the line Richard Wright was born in tittenor, Staffs.

I hope this is some help to you, I am not getting anywhere at the moment on Martha Wright apart from the information i have gave you in is E-mail.

look forward to hearing from you soon.

I don't have internet at home so only get to our local reocrds office about twice a week, so if there a delay in my reply don't worry i will get back to you.

Your faithfully Kevin
I am trying to trace from mother's side of the family.  She was born in Dublin, Ireland on the 8th February 1931 in Dublin.Ireland.  Her father's name was Desmond or Dennis Richard Bolster. They came over from Ireland around 1941.  I am trying to frace the irish side of my family.  My mother's name is Bernadette Josephine Bolster nee Parry. She married my father Sidney John Parry I believe around June 1951 in Liverpool and i was the only child born on 12 May 1953. I hope someone can help me

Kevin,

I can't seem to find a connection between our families. My Richard Wright  (b. 1871) was my great great grandfather, so I know he isn't your Richard.

I don't have any Walls that I know of, but will let you know if I can find any connections.

Good luck,

Rich
