Guess what?

The new version of Internet Explorer (7.0) has a multi-tab facility.

I wonder where they got that idea from?

Actually I don't like I.E.7 but I don't know how to get back to I.E.6 so I'm stuck with 7  :-[

Actually Beta 2 so its close to the Alpha.  That said it runs like a dream.  The fact it is very similar to firefox helps because I loved that browser even if some sites refused to open in it.  As of yet I have found nothing I can't live without and noticed that the pop unders are being killed as well.  Not as often as I would like but still some is better than none.

For once Bill Gates and Micro whats the rest may have gotten sommat right

There is probably no point in restoring back to I.E. 6 as everyone will eventually have to upgrade to I.E.7 as it becomes the new standard.  The default security settings are over-sensitive to the point where everything is considered to be a security threat, but you can adjust them.  I miss the history icon.  You can add history back to the toolbar but only on a daily basis.  Most of the old icons have been removed so they can accommodate the new tab feature.

I'm learning to live with it.

I use Avast....free.....never had a problem.....touch wood. I run it in conjunction with the Windows XP Firewall and Prevx1. Oh, and a built in Firewall in a Netgear Router.

I have tried Norton (PC Hungry), Norman (good but vague....doesn't let you access it), McAfee (Horrible), Bullguard (just as horrible).......Horrible means a word that starts with c and ends with p.
