Any chance of improving my granny with the original picture please

Hello, apologies for reposting this picture, but my last posting of my granny was an emailed attachment. I have now received the original little pic which I have scanned at 600 dpi. Hoping this will make it easier for someone to improve this treasured picture please.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Keith, yes she was a postie during WW1. Not sure what she is carrying in her hand. Many thanks for taking the time to try to improve her pic.  It is very creased, torn, scribbled & to make matters worse only about 2"sq so thank you for your kind efforts.

thanks for that David, unbelievable, you can just about make out a number on her collar.  Appreciate your help.

                It might be my imagination but there also seems to be a badge
hanging in front of her tie. It looks like some initals.. R N I.... If you
do a scan of just that area and another of the collar you should be able to make out
what they are,

I think Adam made my scanner    it certainly needs to be updated, and fast. Did as you suggested, I think the number on her collar is 626, and I agree with you that the initials appear to be RNI.  Thanks for your help
