My twins are also officially non-identical same sex but you would struggle to tell which is which if you didn't know them.  When they were younger their personalities were also more or less identical and we went through all the oddities which are normally attributed to identical twins, such as one having an accident and the other feeling the pain, but now, at the age of 32 they are very different individuals although they still look alike!

I've a couple of sets of twins in my tree and I've found some in my husband's tree too. My husband has a rellie who had triplets called Faith , Hope and Charity but sadly one died. Given the time they lived in I think it's a miracle two survived.

Hi
All the twins in our family have been on my father's side and all identical - he had twin aunts, twin cousins then had twin daughters himself (my older sisters).  They got away with three children each and no twins.

Guess who got the twins!?  Yes - me!  Second pregnancy and there they were - and absolutely not identical, so all co-incidence!  ::)

My brothers aren't even similar.  They don't look like brothers, let alone twins!

Hi to all

My reply is totally coming from memory, (too tired and too late to consult my notes), but I love the subject. My brother and sister are twins, my father's  paternal grandmother was a twin, his maternal g/mother on one side had a set of twins and a set of triplets. His maternal ggg/grandmother on another side had twins and there other twins in the extended family tree.  I plan one day to document all the multiple births, I find it a very interesting subject but at this stage am having a difficult time getting my head around them all.

Hi Sue

I'm going to go through my tree, (when I get time) and write down exactly who had what in terms of twins.  I know most of them in my head but I want to get it on paper, I find it fascinating and I just wish I could find out whether they were all identical or not!!

Or am I following you!!! ;D :o

Twins don't seem to be as rare as I first thought they were.  In fact they seem very common, or is it that we all have them but until we do our family tree we just don't know about them?

My cousin has twin daughters and my Grandad had three sets of twin sisters  :o :o :o.

I had my children when I was 33, 35, 41 and one on the way at 43 - but no sign of any twins!
