First visit to Kew - advice please
« on: Saturday 23 October 04 14:56 BST (UK) »
I'm planning to make my first visit to Kew. Bearing in mind I don't have any rich or famous ancestors (they were mostly Ag Labs), what might I realistically hope to to find, and is one day likely to be enough?

Thanks!

Pete

Hiya Pete,

This thread may be of use to you?

It gives a few first impressions for the first time visitor.

I went to Kew for the first time but I had specific questions and specific info to find.  I think this helps because it can be pretty daunting.

What questions do you have about your ancestors that you think you will find answers to at Kew?  The PRO have some guides on their website that may help you ask the right questions.  The bit that you have to be wary of is.. Do they have the records you want to easy on site?

Their website is here...

All the best,
