BRANCH Family
« on: Monday 05 June 06 13:57 BST (UK) »
Is there anyone who is reseaching a 'Branch' family from Suffolk.
I just found (from a fellow researcher) my Great x 5 Grandfather was Daniel Branch. He married Susan Clements in 1790. This marriage was Bigamous!  Up to now I have a son, Samuel Clements and a daughter Susannah Branch for them.

My 'Branch' family research centres on Felixstowe and Ipswich. I have several generations with the eldest son being name Benjamin b.1810, b.1840 and 1862. I also have a Henry Branch b. around 1770s.I have lots more Branch information all centred on Felixstowe, Ipswich and later West Ham.
Let me know if this area ties in with your Branch relatives

Hi

my first post on the Board, relating to your post of 05 June 2006. Did you get any further on Daniel Branch i have a Daniel Branch b abt 1793 and marrying a Sarah Oxford in 1816. They come from the Layham/Shelley/ Kersey area. Could he be a son of your Daniel?

Regards

Alec

I have that linkage too - although I have Daniel's birth as either 1788 - Dennington PR Transcripts or 1791!

Daniel son of Daniel Branch and Susan Clements - seems to have kept the Branch name whilst his brothers opted for the Clements name!

My great grandfather was Pasifull Branch, born 1854-ish, son of Benjamin (born 1810-ish) and Martha Branch and a younger brother to the Benjamin, born 1840-ish, from Felixstowe (and to be found in Harwich in the 1851 census).  The family moved to West Ham (Plaistow) where my grandmother was born, and then back to Harwich.

This sounds like your Branch branch!  I can share some information if you are interested.

I have a BRANCH maternal grandmother - Mable Jayne, from the Walton, Felixstowe area.  Unfortunately I don't know her date of birth but it's in the 1800's.  She was a seamstress and married James Rowe from the Sudbury area.  Wonder if any of yours are connected to her?  Would be pleased to hear from anyone who may be able to provide more information.  Thanks.
