Computer help needed please

Can anyone advise me on how to stop the adverts keep popping up, not to hot on computers
so please keep it simple.

I have Zonealarm antivirus, mostly the ads are for betting which I have never done online or even offline!

Check the Tools Menu on the address bar.

It should have a 'Pop-up Blocker'

Then click 'Turn on Pop-up Blocker'

This should do the trick.

If your screen looks like the picture below then if you do what willow suggests (as shown in my picture) then it should work.

The pop-up blocker is already enabled, but when you look at blocker history the window is blank ?

You have some kind of spyware on your computer.

If you have Windows Defender then I suggest you run it.

If not there is anti spyware available free on the internet.

As said you may have some adware or spyware which has hit your machine
Adaware from lavasoft a free anti spyware program can be downloaded from

spybot S & D can be found at click to download page

Don't forget to regularly update Spybot if you use it.  You have to do it manually, I usually "check for updates" weekly.
