[Anthony Daly]

I am trying to trace my Uncle Anthony Daly. I heard from St Patricks College Maynooth that  he was ordained as a priest in17 06 1956 in the Meath diocese.

There were two other Daly's  ordained around that same time.

Michael Daly 15 09 1954   and
Edward Daly ordained  19 06 1955

How can I trace my uncle a catholic priest named Daly?

Did you find out about your uncle Fr. Anthony Daly? I also had an uncle Fr. Anthony Edward Daly, but he was from Pa. in the US.

... you may be able to find him in Thom's Directory  - at least up to 1950s it included lists of clergy, and showed the parishes they were in. I don't know how long this continued.

1956 shows Michael Daly, but not Edward or your uncle (Directories are usually 6- 18 months behind)

My first reaction would be to contact the Diocese of Meath they must have records of him there and should know where he went from there etc. bit long winded but could work.

It is a long time since Anthony Daly posted but maybe he is still looking.
