« on: Thursday 01 June 06 17:30 BST (UK) »
i am trying to find my gggggrandparents margaret (dob, c 1805 ireland)& thomas mcgeachy (dob c1805 ireland),(mcgeachie, mcgeechie, mcgechy, mcgeachey) i have them on the 1841, 51, census of gorbals, glasgow area, then 1861 census at rutherglen road , thomas is missing but he did not die until 28 aug 1886 at govan poor house. margaret did not die until 17 july 1876 hutchesontown, glasow. it is possible that the scotlandspeople web site may have transcribed the names wrong as i have used all name variations and soundex but had no luck, i could have bought a bentley with the money i have wasted on wrong matches. can someone please help me with finding them on the 1871 census or give me some advice it would be very much appreciated. regards stu.
