Joseph BERGIN of Wexford
« on: Thursday 01 June 06 14:20 BST (UK) »
Joseph Bergin born abt 1869 and died July 1938 in Wexford. He was married to Catherine Murphy who died in September 1922.

Can anyone help me find anything about Joseph's siblings or parents. I believe he was born in Wexford.

Hiya flaherty835,

Griffiths Valuation for Co. Wexford in 1853 shows three Bergins.
I wonder if one of these guys may have been Joseph's father?

Michael Bergin, Ferns town, Ferns parish
William Bergin, Longgraigue, Clongeen
Peter Bergin, Longgraigue, Clongeen

All the Best, Chris

Thanks for this, Chris. I believe there are still some of my wife's relations living in Wexford so I hope to get more info from them.
Best wishes,
John

Hi Chris,
Many thanks for this. Joseph was my wife's grandfather and we know that there are some of his grandchildren still living near Wexford. So we hope to make contact before long and make the trip across the Irish Sea.
Thanks again and best wishes,
John
