Hello All
After extensive research, we have traced back our family to Thomas, my grandmother Mary Garland/Traynor is Thomas oldest daughter. He is survived today By three grandchildren Sean Garland, Jimmy Garland, and Christian Talbot. We connected this all through Birth Certs, Marriage Certs, and Death Certs. Elizabeth Traynor fought for many years to get an army pension finally when she got it it was paid as a soldier but she refused this and fought for an officers pension as he and many other were wounded during the rising in 1916. We are many archives and records we can share with anyone who wishes them. I am Thomas Great Grandson Gerard Talbot from Dublin via Christine Talbot/Garland - Mary Garland/Traynor.
There seems to have been a huge split in the Traynor family as a lot of his daughters moved to the UK with their Mum Elizabeth, Elizabeth died in 1973 April at 91 her daughter Mary my grandmother died 1973 February. They never had any communication when Mary died I am sure Elizabeth never knew.
The Garland family looked after Thomas junior and the story was Mary Garland would send Jimmy Garland over to ask Thomas if he wanted his Sunday dinner, Jimmy still alive today tells this story and recalls that brother and sister Mary & Thomas never spoke.
We are searching for any relations on here and are willing to help anyone who wishes to connect to this Great man Thomas Traynor.
