I haven’t been around this site for a while. So not sure if I ever offered any possible information. Re your search for Herbert Priestley. My maiden name is Priestley. I met a man named Herbert Priestly ( note different spelling ) he was living in Northern Ireland. He has since died some 10 years ago but his wife is still living albeit a good age. There are a few Herbert Priestly/ Priestley’s in both north and south of Ireland.
Check out irishgeneaology.ie free search for birth death and marriages pre 1922. ( pre partition ) and national archives of Ireland for 1901/1911 all Ireland census.
Also some information about a Herbert Priestly/priestley on PRONI. ( public records of Northern Ireland).
Maybe no connection but thought it was worth giving the information.

On a previous post some years back , not unrelated to this search or indeed may not have been this site, someone reprimanded me for a post.
I was offended by this and it really put me off wanting to research. I am not very computer literate , but I am doing my best with the skills I have.
 I don’t know how to link other sites hence I have given information albeit not the direct links.
