also to valerie for the details from commonwealth war graves - yes it is the correct one


thank you to sue for the digitised service history - that is excellent - please coudl you send the link for the 2 charles spencers that you found as i believe they could  be his brother and father who signed up to the scottish regiment

you will soon see which are the ones about your men by their ages, addressss etc.

Hello there

it is interesting to note that this chap died on a hospital ship
it would a ppear from his record that he was alighthoreseman now they were invlovled in one of the famous battles on gallipoli in august where they tried to secure a sectin know as The Nek  this is featured in the film made in the early 80s from memory starring mel gibson

just a bit of history you might like to know
