Hi Peter
Gosh, what a surprise to hear from you. What a lovely picture.  Here are the Harrison children of William:-  George, born 1862, William b 1864, John b 1866, Thomas b 1868, Henry b 1870, Elizabeth b 1872, Abraham b 1877 and Herbert b 1880.  Abraham died in 1929 and was my grandfather.

Look forward to any info you may be lucky enough to find.  Many thanks.

It would appear that the grave stones you have located previously for members of the Harrison clan are infact relatives of both Silas and me.  Stephen Harrison who died in 1963 was in fact the son of John Thomas Harrison who died in 1905.  John Thomas Harrison was married to Sarah Parrott who share the same plot, this John Thomas's father (Thomas Harrison) was in fact brother to our William and Abraham Harrison's.  So my Gt, Gt Grandfather was brother to Abraham and Uncle to the John Harrison that is in St Oswald's. Cemetery.  There is a connection and I know my Gt Grandfather is in the cemetery, but I have been told that his headstone is no more than a pile of masonry, by an Australian relative who was shown the plot in the 90s, by a Castleford family member.

Jetskijoe - seems we're related then !!  My mother's mother was married to Abraham.  Abraham died 24th Oct 1929 and I have the death certificate - his brother William was in attendance at his death.  He died at 14 Station Rd, Allerton Bywater, W. Yorkshire.  Any idea where he may be buried?  I live a long way from Yorkshire.

Hi Silas

I am in Australia and probably a little further from the scene than you, I believe you are up Cumbria way.  My Australian relative who viewed my great grandfathers pile of bricks at St Oswalds in Methley and now we have located John Thomas in the same Cemetry.  I would suggest that as St Oswalds was the local church where all the Baptism and Weddings were conducted that this is the place were all the burials would have taken place, unless he was such a black sheep that he wasn't allowed to be buried along with the other brothers at St Oswalds in Methley, Nr Leeds.  My father is going to Leeds next month and I am going to ask that he takes photos of the pile of rubble for me!!

Hi Mark.  It would be great if your father could find Abraham's burial place there - do let me know if he can.  Actually Abraham married my grandmother (Lucy Clarkson) at St Georges Parish Church in Leeds.  I am nowhere near Cumbria by the way.  I am in Suffolk - long way from Cumbria or Yorkshire.
