Burial
« on: Saturday 27 May 06 11:45 BST (UK) »
Have just found out after a year's search when and where my grandfather died.  He died in 1929 at Allerton Bywater in W. Yorkshire.  How do I find out where he was buried, or does anyone from the area have any idea which was the local cemetery then?

Hi Jayne.
Sorry for the delay, was off the pc last night.  The name I am looking for was Abraham Harrison who died in October 1929 at Station Road, Allerton Bywater.  He was my grandfather - hope you can help and thank you.

Silas.

Hi Peter - you've helped me once before about something, can't remember what at the moment.  Anyway, thanks for replying to this query.  I know very little about my grandfather, but do know he wasn't Catholic, so it is either C of E or Methodist - could possibly be Methodist as I was christened in the Methodist Church - although my Mum never knew him even though he was her father.

That's all I can tell you I'm afraid - its taken me a year to find out as much as I have !!

Thanks Peter.

Have found out from someone on GR that his brother John is buried in Methley Cemetery, so don't know if he will also be there - is there a way of finding out?
