Hi again Pennytom,

I haven't searched this family  ;D but can try to trace them back a little.

In 1871 at Eldersfield, Worcestershire
RG10/3056 64 2
Churchend

William Annetts, 45, Thatcher, b. Worcestershire Eldersfield
Phobe, wife, 30, Dressmaker, b. Ledbury Herefordshire
Sarah Anne, dau, 19, Nursery Governess domestic, b. Staunton Gloucestershire
Alfred Lewis Annetts, son, 7, scholar, b. Eldersfield
Agnes Eda, dau, 5, b. do.
Herbert E, son, 2, b. do.

Phoebe looks a little young to be Sarah's mother and there is a big gap between Sarah and Alfred. I guess this is a 2nd marriage.

Tanja  :)

Can't pin him down earlier. In 1841, there is an Annotts family in Eldersfield (William 35, Elizabeth 30, Eliza 9, Harriet? 7, Hannah 3, John 1). I'd love to link them to William but can't see him.

I can't see the marriage between William & Phoebe on the free incomplete index. You might have to search the complete BMDs or order Edith Fanny's birth cert to find out Phoebe's maiden name

... or wait and see if somebody else comes up with a marriage  8)

There is a Moses Annett through census returns, b. ca. 1823 in Eldersfield, who seems to live in about the same places as William (except in 1851 when he's a prisoner in Yorkshire  :P). I see there are member submitted records on the IGI for William and Moses, both giving them parents William and Elizabeth but I can't see any extracted christenings.  :-\

Does this look good?

Marriage March 1863
Tewkesbury registration district
6a 599
William Annetts - Phoebe Coldrick

With indeed 1851 and 1861 having a Phoebe Coldrick born 1840 Ledbury - Mother Mary
plus this birth: Phebey Coldrick March 1840 Ledbury 26 166

The 1841 reference for this family (unfortunately no father around) is HO107/425/1 40 22

Viva the IGI  8)

Phoebe Coldrack
Christening 6 January 840 Ledbury, Hereford
Parents Thomas Coldrack and Mary

Ann 1834 Harriet 1836 and Elizabeth 1837 are in the same batch  :) (+ a few others I'm not too sure of: Can't see Sarah but there is an Esther christened in 1830 although she's supposed to be 8 in 1841  ??? )

Plus! A possible marriage Thomas Coldrick - Mary Symonds 16 April 1826 Ledbury
