1858 Post Office Lookup - Manchester

Hi,

I am looking for Sampson Lawton.  He had a shop in Wharf Street, Ancoats, Manchester in 1855 (Wharf Street) and I wondered if the Post Office Directory would have any further info.

Hi , i know this is a long time after you have posted this.
There was no mention of him or wharf street in the 1858 post office director for Manchester, but did find him at 42 Wharf street, Ancoats as a shop keeper( it does not say what kind of shop it was ) in the 1863 directory for manchester.
Sorry it took so long, but i am getting old and things seem to take longer to do these days

If you need any look ups on other directories i have just ask. Here is a list of the Manchester ones i hold.

1929
1933 does not cover much on Manchester

They are not complete as in when you look at an original Kelly's directory which covers
Trades/street/people. but have one or all of those section on them.
Plus i have all sort of other records  for other areas.
