Hi Florey

It often pays to be very specific when requesting information.

Are you looking for information about the MUDD family from parish records?  It would appear from James MUDD's entry on the 51 census that the family originated from Huntingfield.  We have a kind volunteer here on RootsChat who offers lookups from the Huntingfield parish registers, so I have altered your message title to alert her to your request.

Best Wishes
Rick :)

Well only distantly related through the Ransbys - I think!
other Mudds on Huntingfield parish records:

4th Aug 1879 - John Foreman Ransby 21y bat. (Father John Ransby - Carpenter) married Annie Cupper Mudd spinster. (father James Mudd - blacksmith)

28 June 1881 - Thomas Mudd (25y) bat. married Elizabeth Coe (18y) sp. (father: Zacharus Coe - Bailiff)
Baptisms:
12th Oct 1844 -Elizabeth daug. James & Mary Ann Mudd
2nd Sep 1849 - Walter son of James & Mary Ann Mudd
16th May 1852 - Henry Cupper son of James & Mary Ann Mudd
17th May 1855 Thomas & Mary Ann of James & Mary Ann Mudd
21 Feb 1858 - Annie Cupper daug. of James & Mary Ann Mudd
7th May 1882 James son Thomas & Elizabeth Mudd (Carrier of Huntingfield)
31st Aug 1884 - Clara daug. of thomas & Elizabeth Mudd  "

Thats all I have.
Good luck
