Hello all...
Since my first post everything changed considerably!
We were told by my husbands dad that his great grandparents were named Albert and Edwina but it turns out they were named Frank and Ethel!!
Which explains why i couldnt find them.
So now we are looking for Ethels family as we cant find her maiden name as yet.
Weve done well with the hides side but the whitney side is at a stand still.
Yes, Alice Ann Whitney and John Hides are the right ones and they were younger than we were told.

frank whitney was born in 1895 in lincs, possibly grimsby and ethel was born in 1890.
The children were born in either grimsby or cleethorpes as thats where they spent all their lives.
