I use the chatroom alot, nearly every day. I too was very scared when I first went in, especially when everyone jumps at you and says hello as soon as you pop in! I must admit I ran away the first time! I had never used a chat room before.

But now I use it for a chat to friends I have made in there, and if I get stuck I know someone in there will help me. Everyone in the chat room was new once, and remembers how it feels to be new. No one expects anyone to be a genius at computers or at chatting. Just go in there and watch for a few times. Go at your own pace, it's not a race. Relax, and when you feel ready, jump in with a question. They wont bite!! They love to help if they can.

Go on, give it a go!

Remember, they don't know who you are if you do make a mistake!!

Cya in there,

I like the idea of "slow talkers /  typers" but unfortunately that would leave me out since I still haven't mastered the skill of multi tasking yet.  :)  :)

Just pick a time Gadget, and I will try to participate. Now that we have gone back to "real time" here in the US and I don't have to work any more (or less) I am up to participating ... or attempting to participate.

I just pop in the CR every so often. I'm waiting for you all to come up with something. Sarah has suggested 6.30 pm (-ish). Not good for me but my participation isn't vital, so over to you, folks ........

Don't worry about me either. Since I am currently located on the East Coast of the US there is the time difference of six hours. Guess what I am trying to say is my good times probably wouldn't be your good times.

however, I am willing to give it a try and participate. Just let me know when.

Did you ever decide on a name, day or time for the "slow typers" chat room?

No. I think we were waiting for the slow typers  :D

Sarah volunteered 6.30 pm but no one came back.

It really is up to you slow typers, I think.

If we were to wait for the real slow typers (such as I) we would still be waiting and a decision would never be reached ... or typed.   ;D  ;D

And then you add "think" ... thats multitasking ... I'm feeling pressure
