I've been told by my partner that IRC stands for "Internet Relay Channel" you can use it with a programe called  mIRC http://www.mirc.com/

This is an apology from a bloke that should know better at his age!!
Visited the Chat Room last night,yeah,just to have a look round+' alf a bitter like.
In two ticks I realised it was like dropping into a firework display in a tissue paper parachute!!
Itried to exit gracefully but think said exit was spoiled by Panic.No escape button!
So if offence was caused, my apologies.
