Hopefully you've been in the chat room and enjoyed 'talking' to other Rootschatters. You may have found it pretty quiet in there when you've been in and possibly even given up. We have recently being trying to encourage use of the chat room, as it is a great facility, by setting some pre-arranged times. We had 30 people in on Friday night between 8pm and midnight (GMT) with a maximum of 14 at any one time, and 16 in last night (maximum of 9 at one time).
It seems that the best time for most people is 8pm onwards on a weekday. So if you are able please go in especially at that time. If you have never been into the chatroom before just click on the icon at the top right of the Rootschat home page marked "Chat"

. If it prompts you to load any software to enter the chat room just click yes. If you have trouble getting in post a message here and I or someone will help.
Here a few suggestions for getting the most out of Rootschat's chatroom1. Use it!
2. If you go in and there's no one else there, don't come straight out. You'll probably find half a dozen people are doing the same thing and all missing each other.
3. Rather than left clicking on the chat icon to enter the room, right click and select 'open in new window'. This will allow you to keep both a rootschat screen open and the chatroom.
4.When in the chat room keep your speakers switched on so if you nip back into rootschat by switching to the other open window you will hear a tone when someone else enters.
5.By switching windows back into Rootschat you can then post a message on rootschat to say you are in the chatroom. This will ensure everyone one who's logged in will potentially see the message.
6. You can also send personal messages (pm) to other users to get them to join in.
See you in there!
