Hi Lew,

I don't think you will need to wait too much longer for I have advice that Limerick Ancestry will be re-opening soon, albeit under possible different supervision. Within weeks I believe.....maybe a month or two would be nearer the mark.

There are two interesting articles on Irish History in Ancestors magazine for August 2006
 www.ancestorsmagazine.co.uk
also a news item regarding the Irish records going online, a bill is going through the Irish Parliament and you can follow its progress on this site,
www.oireachtas.ie/viewdoc.asp?DocID=5472&&CatID=59
There is a detailed discussion on the bill on the Genealogy Society of Ireland at
 www.familyhistory.ie
Thanks for all your support and welcome to all the new Rootschatters.

Hi John,

              This is great news! Research on my Hayes and Costello ancestors can begin soon. I hope to be as successful here as I have been with my ancestors in County Dublin, County Leitrim, and County Galway/Mayo.

              Its amazing when your able to find your ancestor on the Griffiths Valuation and go to the actual site where their house is or used to be!
