Need help please Barrow in Furness

Hi
  I am trying to find a gentleman by the name of Chadwick or Kirkwood, he became a Sir after the war, and had a conection with the ship yard at Barrow in Furness, he was the uncle of my grandad Charles Adam Yeo, on his mothers side of the family, an as i know not a thing about my Great granmother only her name Eliza Bailey nee Thompson born 1849 died 1900 father William, her husband was Charles Mathew Yeo, her first husband died she had a daughter Mary to him and two boys William and Charles to my G granfather.
 Any help or information would be very much appreciated

Hi,

Not sure if this is any help but there was a Sir Robert Burton-Chadwick born Oxton, Cheshire 1869 and died 1851 who was knighted after the first world war.  He did have connections with Barrow in Furness.  Try Googling his name and it comes up.

Robert Burton Chadwick married my g grandmothers sisters daughter Catherine Barbara Williams..if that is any help...

Hi..No I havent got much...but maybe photographs...I have certainly got photos of My g grandmothers sister Eleanor and her daughter Cathering Barbara Williams and I may have a photograph of Noel their son and other children...if this would be of help...If you google Burton Chadwick you will find all the info on them...their son Josh who is my 3rd cousin and is the 3rd Baron of Bidston currently lives in Australia...they all emigrated to NZ in the early 20's ...get back to me if you want pics etc...cheers..Karin or you can email me at
