Hi Kylebrook

If you could post futher details (some first nmaes, dates etc) about Drywood et al it would help narrow down searches.
Hopefully folk here can get some info for you before you travel over

DAMN just wrote this all out and lost it. Earliest is Joseph DRYWOOD bor cir 1788 - may have parents for him as have a Daniel DRYWOOD m Mary MITCHELL in 1786 and he COULD have been the first child. It is such an uncommon name I will take any names - my tree is very small.

Hi Glenda

When you say Maidstone area, do you mean Maidstone itself or one of the smaller villages outside the town?

Do you have Joseph on any census - if so, could you please post the details ie. when/where in Kent was he born - and when/where did he marry?

The 1841 census shows a Sarah DRYWOOD aged 40 in Canterbury prison :o, not born in Kent.
There aren't many DRYWOODS around at all.
