1871 census
« on: Tuesday 19 October 04 09:16 BST (UK) »
Hallo Chris,
you're last reply to me was really helpful but has caused  a lot more questions as always , would you mind looking up  on the 1871 census in Newick,  John Weston bn 1834 Newick, with children Mary 9 John 7 both bn Newick, this family was on the 1881 census in Newick,I couldn find my John and Eliza on the 1881 census but you found them on the 1871 census, this would prove whether Newick John was mine or not,do you have the 1861 census for Mayfield? I'm sure you knew that I was going to ask this one !!, many thanks,
                            Jean.

Hallo Chris,
this proves that they are not  my family in the 1881 census, but I'll hang onto the info as they might be connected in the long run
The weather  is  dreich today,( I think thats the correct spelling!!) very dull, misty, and wet,but theres no  one on the beach, its wonderful, Jean.

Hi Jean

Sorry that the family turned out not to be yours - stick them on the back burner, may come in handy some day - brother, uncle, distant cousin or something like "their cat ran down our entry" kind of relationship.

Sorry but do not have access to the 1861 census as yet

Last day at the Record Office tomorrow - any last requests?

Hallo Chris,
dont know if I'm too late for this or not as I was out last night and didnt check my emails, but if you've time today and are looking at BMD's , could you check out the marriage between John Weston and Eliza Saunders please. They were married on the 25th May 1855 at Mayfield.I would like to verify that Johns father was Aaron Weston, but I would like Eliza's age and fathers name, occupation, address etc please, many  thanks, late notice I know.
                          Jean.
