Hi just came across this site by chance. Looking for a line of Dightons. Grandfather was Nou, had three sons Lawrence, Leonard and Maurice used to have a small general store in Penhill before it was demolished for a roundabout. Any info would be interesting

Hi Paulevo

I will be glad to do some lookups for you.  Can you give me more info to search on.  There are Three Nou Dightons, 1837, 1900, 1902.  There are numerous Lawrences Maurices etc.  Can you give indications of Birth/Marriage /Death years for Nou or any of his family or known addresses.

Hi I don't know a great deal. Nou was married to Isabel and lived at Penhill where they had a small shop in the front of their house. The area was redeveloped and is now a roundabout. They both moved to Crayford until they died. Lawrence married Audrey Cook and moved to Sittingbourne. Maurice married Iris and moved to Sittingbourne, he was killed in a vehicle crash on Death Hill. I know the family had roots in East London and were involved in the Docks and that's about it. Not much I'm afraid
