VESEY-HOWISON Carnwath
« on: Thursday 11 May 06 19:05 BST (UK) »
HI
Archibald Vesey and Janet Howison
were married on 17.10.1831 at St Cuthbert's Edinburgh
and subsequently  on 21.10.1831 at Carnwath, which is just over 25 miles south-west of Edinburgh.
I could not see any details of either's parents on the records I saw.

Do you have any record of either of these people?

I have found reference to Thomas Prentice and Helen Howison and their son Archibald in Carnwath in 1802 - are these people relatives to Janet? Could Helen be an aunt or an older sister to Janet?

And what of Archibald Vesey? He and Janet moved to Partick, where their son Alexander (b. 1842) married an Englishwoman called Caroline Street.
Was there other offspring?

Moderator Comment: If anybody can help, then please check out the thread on the Midlothian Board as well, to avoid duplication of efforts. Thanks :)
