I too have had a few rib chuckles reading this thread. May I add a few of non family tree members I know of?
In Bakersfield, California there is the Swift family who lovingly named their daughter Ophela. And in Bethlehem, New York there used to be an Elsie Belchwinder- can't remember her sister's name but it was equally worth saving. Then I used to have a boss whose last name was Syrygly (pronounced Shrigley) and lastly there is Shaker Razook who used to hand out business cards embossed in gold. Worth having just for the unusual name.
Alas, my tree is just full of all those normal names, James, David, Alexander William, John, Thomas, Joseph, Elizabeth, Anne, Sarah, Jane, Agnes, Mary, with boring surnames that drift off into obscurity here and there.
