I just came across what appears to be the marriage of the Margarit/Maggie Ellicott in the above census returns, although she signed the marriage certificate "Aggie":
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1927/09097/5290783.pdfHer husband Patrick McMahon, from Termon West in County Clare, was in the National Army and was one of 16 soldiers killed in the Glen of Imaal tragedy in 1941.
Aggie place this notice in the Irish Independent of Tuesday, September 16, 1947 (front page):
`McMAHON — Sixth Anniversary — In sad
and loving memory of a dearest dad and
loving husband, C./Sgt. Patrick McMahon,
killed at Glen of Imaal, Sept. 16, 1941.
R.I.P. Masses offered. Will those who
think of him to-day a little prayer to
Jesus say. — Inserted by his loving wife and
children.'
I would be interested in learning what became of their three children who appear in the Ireland, Civil Registration Births Index, 1864-1958 as Desmond G (1920's), Madeline M (1930's) and Doris M (1930's).
